Is a DNV offshore container the same as an ISO shipping container?

No. Offshore containers face dynamic lifting and impact conditions that ordinary intermodal freight containers are not automatically designed or certified to withstand. Certification must be based on the offshore unit’s approved design and production records.

Can an existing shipping container be converted for DNV certification?
